I have a friend who produced a sort of “living newspaper” series of shorts every so often, each night with a common theme. They did one night entirely about Google. The dramaturg got up to talk, and talked about he found the page where you can delete ALL YOUR GOOGLE PRESCENCE. And he showed it to us. He put in his log in and went through the prompts and got to the final “are you sure?!?!?!?” page and then stepped away from the computer because he didn’t want to accidentally hit the button. Because while doing their research, they asked everyone if they would ever delete themselves from Google entirely. And then they asked the audience.
They couldn’t find a single person. Not one.
